Pru Bennett

Pru works with clients to help navigate their way through shareholder meetings, including advice on shareholder activism, social activism, shareholder proposals—a skill developed as Head of Investment Stewardship APAC for BlackRock and over 12 years as a proxy advisor—and applied her insight, understanding and strategic approach to innumerable governance issues.

She works with clients to develop sustainability strategies and engagement plans to ensure effective communications to all stakeholders. Pru helps drive productive dialogues between investors and senior leaders, and creates governance roadmaps for long-term sustainable returns.

Pru is the Chair of the National Foundation for Australia China Relations and a member of the Australian Financial Reporting Council. Pru is also a council member of the Asian Corporate Governance Association and a member of Deakin University Integrated Reporting Centre Advisory Board. Until January 2025 after a five year term, Pru was a member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s Corporate Governance Advisory Committee.

She is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales.
