Lucy Parker

Lucy is co-author of ‘The Activist Leader – A New Mindset for Doing Business’ and ‘Everybody’s Business – The Unlikely Story of How Business Can Change the World’, both written with Jon Miller with whom, over a decade ago, she founded Brunswick’s practice group, Sustainable Business, focused on one of the business world’s most contentious challenges: helping companies get to grips with their role in society.

She is a senior advisor at the Brunswick group with more than twenty years’ experience working with senior leadership teams in global corporates across a wide range of sectors, from financial services to health, engineering, retail and telecoms, industrials and professional services. The issues that she and the team deal with cover all the critical environmental and societal that are critical to Brunswick’s clients, including climate, nature and waste, alongside DE&I and the full spectrum of inequality and access topics.

Lucy began her working life making documentaries for the BBC, before moving into the business arena helping leadership teams and companies with strategic communications to engage with their critical stakeholders, including the investment community and employees, civil society and policy makers. In government, she was invited to Chair the UK Prime Minister’s Taskforce on Talent and Enterprise from 2008-2010, focused on the importance of skills to competitiveness in the global economy.
