Jonathan Doorley
Partner, New York Office Head
Jonathan is a Partner and Head of New York, overseeing the growth and operations of Brunswick’s largest office in the Americas with more than 250 team members.
He leads the firm’s global Financial practice, advising Boards and management teams across sectors on media, investor and government relations programs related to mergers and acquisitions, shareholder activism and other capital markets matters. In 2024, the practice advised on 295 transactions worth $583.2 billion and counseled corporate issuers on 26 publicly disclosed activist defense engagements with an aggregate market cap of $583.0 billion.
Prior to joining Brunswick in 2017, Jonathan was a Partner and member of the Management Committee at Sard Verbinnen & Co, a strategic communications firm now part of FGS Global. Over 11 years with that firm, he was originally based in New York before launching and serving as Co-Head of the London office.
Jonathan is frequently cited as an industry leader. He was ranked by MergerLinks as the “Top PR Consultant in North America” in 2024 and has been ranked in the top 10 every year since 2021. He was featured in Observer’s “PR Power List” in 2025 and 2023, and Insider’s “Top 15 Financial PR Pros” in 2020.
He holds an M.B.A. from The University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and a B.A. from Wake Forest University. He is a member of Harvard Law School’s Corporate Governance Roundtable Advisory Council.
