David advises on regulatory and political risk in the UK. He specialises in helping companies and investors to navigate national security reviews, change of control procedures and public interest processes.
His extensive transaction experience includes Bharti Global’s acquisition of a stake in BT; Harbour Energy’s acquisition of a portfolio of assets from Wintershall Dea; I Squared’s acquisition of Arriva; Broadcom’s acquisition of VMware; Schneider Electric’s acquisition of AVEVA plc; and Parker-Hannifin’s acquisition of Meggitt plc. He also supports clients on due diligence, helping them to create strategies to reduce regulatory execution risks.
Additionally, David advises on policy developments around UK critical national infrastructure, capital mobilisation and corporate governance. He is an experienced crisis communications adviser and has supported clients’ responses to significant industrial relations disputes, service outages and governance failures.
David joined Brunswick in 2014 from The Spectator magazine, where he was a current affairs journalist and editor. He studied Modern History at the University of Oxford.
