Daisuke Tsuchiya

Daisuke leads Brunswick's global Japan team. For over a decade, he has advised global c-suites on high stakes issues ranging from cross border M&A, crisis and litigation, to regulatory and geopolitical issues that involve Japanese corporates and stakeholders, across sectors ranging from financial institutions, tech, heavy industries to consumer goods.
He previously worked as a fast track Japanese diplomat for over 15 years, in issues ranging from US military base issues in Okinawa, WTO agricultural trade negotiations, to government procurement reform, while also serving as the English language interpreter for four Japanese Prime Ministers. At the London Embassy, he served as spokesperson at the time of the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011.
Daisuke currently serves on the Advisory Council of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Advisory Board of the 30%Club Japan Chapter, the Board of Japan House London, the UK-Japan Sakura Cherry Tree Project Committee, and the Board of the University of Tokyo Alumni UK Chapter. He is also a Guest Professor of the ESG Integration Center of Osaka University.
Daisuke has a BA in law from the University of Tokyo as well as masters’ degrees from the University of Cambridge and the London School of Economics.
