Iris advises boards and executive teams of leading local, regional and global companies.
She has deep expertise in Leadership & Transformation strategic communications and has played a pivotal role in shaping outcomes for clients across Africa’s most dynamic markets. From her Johannesburg base where she leads Brunswick’s presence in Africa, Iris has guided clients through complex challenges ranging from the consolidation of the Nigerian banking sector, Competition Commission investigation into stadia in South Africa, tax and regulatory issues across the continent, shareholder activism as well as M&A, including landmark transactions in Africa. She sits on Brunswick’s Global DEI Committee as the lead for the region.
Prior to Brunswick, Iris was a credit rating analyst at GCR Ratings. There she rated corporates, insurance companies and local government in South Africa and across key markets in Africa.
Iris holds a BBusSci (Quantitative Management) from the University of Cape Town with majors in Economics, Finance and Statistics. Her honours thesis was a study of waiting times between trades on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
