Francesca Scassellati Sforzolini

Francesca co-leads the firm's global Healthcare and Lifesciences sector. With over 20 years of industry experience, she supports clients in navigating the complex regulatory, political, and social landscapes, while building trust and reputation with their key audiences.
Her particular expertise lies in designing and managing international strategies, as well as multi-stakeholder engagement initiatives with healthcare stakeholders, which have led to concrete policy changes. Francesca has worked across various disease and therapy areas, including oncology, rare diseases, neurology, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and women’s health. At Brunswick, her clients have included leading global pharmaceutical companies, biotechs, and medtech firms.
Before joining Brunswick, she was the Managing Director and Head of the Brussels office at a boutique agency focused on health. She has also held senior positions at GS1’s Global Office, the European Climate Foundation, Mars Inc., and Burson-Marsteller.
Francesca holds an M.A. in International Relations and Economics from The Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, D.C., and a joint B.A. in Political Science from the University of Bologna and Sciences Po Strasbourg. She is fluent in English, French, and Italian, and also speaks Spanish and Norwegian.
