James Baker

James has extensive experience in advising international companies on corporate reputation, political risk and geopolitics.
Having moved to Washington DC from London, his work spans various sectors including consumer industries, healthcare, technology, media and telecommunications as well as financial services. James is one of Brunswick’s political strategy and election specialists, sitting within Washington’s US Public Affairs team. He also has significant experience in M&A and IPO communications and other major transactions.
Previously James worked on the Stronger Together campaign, Remain campaign and was a 2019 UK General Election candidate. He advised Boris Johnson as part of his leadership team and Penny Mordaunt’s leadership campaign in Westminster.
James joined Brunswick in 2018 and prior to that worked at a global communications agency. He is a former barrister and previously studied English Literature at the University of Birmingham.
