International book award
“Verkauft und nichts verraten – Kommunikation im Zeitalter sich wandelnder Finanzmärkte”1, co-authored and edited by former Brunswick Partner Professor Dr. Miriam Meckel, has won the prestigious getAbstract International Book Award for 2009.
Brunswick’s German Senior Partner Thomas Knipp and New York based Associate Michael Sandstede contributed a chapter on how companies should respond to activist investors.
Professor Meckel is now Director of the Institute for Media and Communications Management at the University of St Gallen, Switzerland, and a Senior Advisor to Brunswick. Along with the contributors to the book, she joins an elite group of previous recipients including Joseph Stiglitz, Nassim Nicholas Taleb, Robert J. Shiller, Benoît Mandelbrot and Chris Anderson.
The awards, announced at the Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany, were first made in 2001 and this year were based on getAbstract’s assessment of more than 10,000 English and German non-fiction titles.
